VID/132 Women's Day School, Onllwyn.
A women's day school at Onllwyn organised by the Neath, Dulais and Swansea Valley Support Group. There is a video about the dispute at the Hoover factory in Merthyr Tydfil which mainly concerned women workers. This is followed by a discussion about the role of women in the work place. There is a video and discussion about the part women have played in protests from the food riots of the 1790's to the peace protests of the 1980's. The authoress Menna Gallie gives a talk on her early life in Ystradgynlais and Crynant.
