Info: This pocket watch was presented to Swansea forward Harry Bevan to mark Swansea becoming Welsh Champions for 1890-91. Their playing record was P: 29, W: 26, D: 1, L: 2, pts for: 419, ag: 71. They were captained by W. A. "Billy" Bowen in the second of three consecutive seasons at the helm. Swansea had also been 'Premiers' or Welsh Champions the previous season. Each of the players were given a watch like this one. The inscription on the inside reads: "SWANSEA FOOTBALL CLUB PREMIER WELSH TEAM 1890-91. Harry Bevan FORWARD". The watches were made by X. Ganz, Goldsmith and jeweller of Swansea.
