Info: This Swansea cap was presented to Geoff Wheel on 22nd September 2018 in recognition of his having played over 100 matches for Swansea RFC. Between 1970 and 1983 Geoff played 318 matches for the club, scoring 22 tries. He played for Swansea against Italy, Fiji, Australia (twice), Romania, New Zealand and the NZ Maoris. Geoff won the Welsh cup with Swansea in 1978 and captained the team in 1979-80 and 1980-81. this a highly successful period for the club, who were Unofficial Welsh Champions and Daily Mail & Daily Telegraph Anglo-Welsh Champions and 'Team of the Season' twice. He was and remains a hugely popular presence at St Helen's.
