Portrait of the Honourable Mr Justice Sankey Photographic portrait of the Honourable Mr Justice Sankey. Sankey was a heroic figure because he recommended coal nationalisation and for that reason his portrait was hung in a place of honour in the South Wales Miners' Federation offices in Cardiff in the 1920s. The portrait is a bequest to the South Wales Miners' Library by the National Union of Mineworkers, South Wales Area.
