Info: This trophy was presented to Swansea RFC on their visit to Romania in August 1954, when they became the first western club to tour behind the 'Iron Curtain'. It was presented by the Locomotiva Bucharesti club at the first of two games played by Swansea. This was on 23rd August at the Stadionul ground (capacity 50,000) and Swansea lost the game 12 - 22 in searing heat. The invitation had been extended to Swansea as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of Romanian liberation from Nazi German control in 1944.
