This Welsh jersey was worn by Swansea’s Watcyn Thomas in the England v Wales match at Twickenham on 21 January 1933. Wales won by 1 try and 1 drop goal to 1 try (7 - 3). It was Wales' first ever win at Twickenham and was witnessed by 68,000 including the Price of Wales. Letters replaced numbers on Welsh jerseys for a period in the 1930s. The backs were given 'A' to 'G' corresponding to 15 to 9. Forwards were given 'H' to 'O' corresponding to 1 to 8. Watcyn Thomas was captain of the Welsh fifteen that day. Presented to Swansea RFC by J. Bruce Barter.
