This is the Wales cap awarded to Swansea second-row Geoff Wheel on his international debut in Dublin on 2nd February 1974 against Ireland. The match was drawn 9-9. Geoff Wheel won a total of 32 Welsh caps between 1974 and 1982, Wales winning twenty-two of those matches and drawing one. A physical, uncompromising forward, Geoff Wheel formed a formidable second-row partnership with Aberavon's Allan Martin and was a Triple Crown winner four times and Grand Slam winner twice during his international career with Wales.
