Abstract

The WSSRU was established in 1923 and sent the first Welsh ‘national’ team to tour South Africa in 1956. This Welsh secondary Schools rugby cap was awarded to Dai Richards in 1972, the year he was capped by WSSRU against Yorkshire, Wales youth, England and France. He was capped again against all four and also Scotland in 1973 when he was captain.
