Abstract
Swansea RFC Cap presented to Swansea Forward Tom Clark, 1880. The cap is cardinal red, the club colours of 1879-1880. The colours were described in contemporary newspapers as being of a "cardinal red". This is the Oldest cap in collection and the oldest item also. Tom Clark played for Swansea from 1876-1877 until 1881-1882 making 32 known appearances, predominantly as a forward.
