Abstract: This is the Welsh Jersey worn by Swansea scrum-half R. M. (Dickie) Owen against Scotland at St Helens, in his last of 35 Welsh caps. He was captain of the Welsh side that day. Wales won by 3 converted tries, 2 drop goals and 2 tries. He and Swansea’s Billy Trew were carried from the field by the crowd at the final whistle.
